I had a bee bee parrot like that - his name was David. He didn't speak English per se, but I always knew what he was saying and we understood each other perfectly. I would say to people, "Don't be fooled - he looks like a bird but he's really not. He's a person in a bird suit." That's what I think Victor was too. Thank you for sharing him with us. You are so lucky to have recordings and video of him. I don't have any of my David, whom I had for 17 years and lost 17 years ago. I have about 40 budgies myself, while they don't talk to me about god, they do let let me know when they want something in there own way. I have always wanted a bird that talked, but, I don't dare have any as pets. With two cats - one who is quite a predator, there would be all sorts of mayhem around here!! I have always loved parrots and cockatiels. I can just see Ali going after a parrot - and lose an eye!! I also understand that parrots live a long time. With my age at 56, I doubly don't think that its a good idea to adopt one. I would always worry about what would happen to it, if I died. Thank you for sharing your story.
