The Teacher
Victor took on the responsibility of teaching his mate Betty to talk seriously. He spent hours talking to her and giving her school as he called it. This is unique because budgies are not known for talking well when they have a mate. Victor was different. He had a goal to teach her and he wasn't afraid to let the whole world know it. He spoke about it often in his recordings.
In less than one month Victor had Betty saying several words and phrases. She began to speak well while Victor was still alive and was even progressing faster then Victor due to the training he gave her. Once he knew that Betty was learning from him, he said he wanted to start a budgie school. He was also proud and called himself her teacher. Victor believed that he had important things to teach people about budgies too. That is one of the reasons he liked to be recorded. He wanted everyone to hear what he had to say. I believe one of his goals in life was to teach people how special budgies can be.
